Lodge Chelmsford is a Freemason Lodge, it was consecrated in
1909. Lodge Chelmsford meets in the suburb of Concord, NSW. Freemasonry is an
organisation that has its origins based in the craft of stone masons and
builders who built King Solomon's Temple and the cathedrals and castles of
Europe. The secret signs, handshakes and words have their origins from these
times so that fellow Masons could identify each other. Freemasons values
include truth, honour, virtue, benevolence and charity and is not a religious
or political organisation. More information can be found on the 'Its no secret real men wear aprons'
website, the
United Grand Lodge of Freemasons of NSW and the ACT or
the documentary on ABC's compass program.
